The Inception

Embarking on our journey, Hisia Youth Guiding and Counselling C.B.O originated with a modest team, limited resources, and an ambitious objective: to guide and empower the youth in Likoni and beyond. Our visionary founder, Maryam Ngare, recognized the need for a paradigm shift in addressing the challenges faced by the youth. Just as John Marks revolutionized conflict resolution during the Cold War, our founder's aim to redefine the narrative, emphasizing collective growth and empowerment rather than divisive struggles. As Hisia takes its first steps, the spirit of constructive change is at the core of our foundation.

Current Initiatives

At present, Hisia Youth Guiding and Counselling C.B.O actively engages with the community, offering guidance and support to the youth in Likoni and other areas of Mombasa. Through various programs, we address crucial aspects of mental health, gender-based violence, sexual and reproductive health, and substance abuse. Our ongoing efforts aim to create a positive impact on the lives of the youth, empowering them with the necessary skills to navigate the challenges they face.

Looking ahead, Hisia envisions expanding its reach and influence, becoming a catalyst for positive change on a broader scale. Our future goals include implementing comprehensive educational campaigns, establishing more counseling centers, and forging partnerships with like-minded organizations.
